Mariarosa! This is a fantastic image. I've never seen red in a lily pad. Up in NY we had all green ones. I can't believe how many frogs you captured in this shot. Usually they jump off soon as you get slightly close. I love it. fave & voted

Thanks, EricaMaxine! This picture was taken in a park outside of Cooperstown, NY. I had not seen red lily pads before either. As to the frogs, I didn't see them until after I took the picture, they were so well camouflaged. After that, I took several close-ups which I might download too.

Took a while, but finally I saw the frogs. I guess in nature all they need is that second or two head start, before a predator sees them. Love those striations in the lily pads!

I didn't see them at first, either, then I kept discovering new ones. Thank you, much, Harold!
